The Baseball Team dropped two in a doubleheader with High Point University today at High Point. Brown fell in the first game 6-4 and then lost the second game 6-2. The Bears are now 3-13-1 overall and will face High Point in a doubleheader tomorrow Saturday, March 29 starting at noon.
Sophomore Chris Davidson (Nova Scotia, CAN) started the first game for Brown and pitched in five and a third innings. Davidson recorded four strike-outs and gave up six hits. Freshman Shaun McNamara (Worcester, MA) came into relieve Davidson and pitched in three innings for the Bears.
Junior Bobby Deeb (West St. Paul, MN) went 2-5 with a run and an RBI as well as three stolen bases. Sophomore Jeff Nichols (Medford, NJ) was 2-3 and scored two runs, he also added two stolen bases.
Senior Justin Lebowitz (Aberdeen, NJ) pitched the entire second game for Brown. Lebowitz recorded six strike outs and gave up ten hits. Deeb was 2-4 with a double and a single. Deeb scored one of Brown's two runs and also added a stolen base. Nichols also went 2-4 with a double and an RBI.
