Baseball Edged at No. 1 South Carolina, 1-0
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Freshman Christian Taugner (Roselle, Ill.) tossed seven innings of one-run ball to keep the Bears in the game, but the Brown baseball team was edged in a pitcher’s dual by top-ranked South Carolina, 1-0, in Sunday afternoon’s series finale at Carolina Stadium.

Baseball Drops Pair at No. 1 South Carolina to Open Season
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Senior Daniel Massey (Greensboro, N.C.) and freshman Robert Henry (Cranston, R.I.) recorded two hits apiece, but the Brown baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader to top-ranked South Carolina, 13-0 and 8-0, in the season opener Saturday at Carolina Stadium.

Baseball Season Opener Postponed; Saturday Doubleheader Scheduled
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Friday’s season opener between the Brown University baseball team and South Carolina has been postponed due to inclement weather. The opener of the three-game series has been scheduled as part of a doubleheader on Saturday (3/8) starting at 2 p.m. at Carolina Stadium.

Former Pitcher Carlow to Join Cardinals at Spring Training
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Former Brown University standout pitcher Kevin Carlow (Mystic, Conn.) has signed as a non-drafted free agent with the St. Louis Cardinals organization and will report to extended spring training on April 4, 2014.

Baseball Welcomes Newest Member Through Team IMPACT
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown University baseball program announced its newest member to the team on Sunday, as five-year-old Alex Falzone of Attleboro, Mass. officially joined the roster through Team Impact, a non-profit organization based in Quincy, Mass. that matches children who have life-threatening illnesses with collegiate sports teams.

Baseball to Host 2014 Hot Stove Dinner
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's baseball team will host its 2014 Baseball Hot Stove Dinner on Friday, February 7 at the Brown Faculty Club in Providence, R.I. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., and both the coaching staff and players look forward to honoring those who have helped build the program.
