2012: Appeared in 11 games and made 10 starts, the most of any pitcher on the team…Struck out 32 batters in 53.2 innings pitched and held opponents to a .286 batting average…Posted a 5.53 ERA overall and a 5.33 ERA in Ivy League games…Pitched a complete game against Penn, taking a 12-2 victory.

2011:
Had a stellar sophomore season, receiving second team All-Ivy honors, and was named Team MVP…Also selected to the Capital One Academic All-District Team…Made 10 appearances and started six games, leading the team with a 3.06 ERA and the Ivy League with a 1.51 ERA in conference games…Allowed just six earned runs…Went 3-1 on the season, allowing no homeruns and striking out 22 batters in 53 innings pitched overall…Held opponents to a .269 batting average, second best on the team.
 

2010: A consistent contributor out of the bullpen, he appeared in 11 games in relief…Threw 18.0 innings, third among freshman pitchers, and was one of just three Brown pitchers to earn a save…Struck out 11 opposing batters.

Before Brown: A four-sport athlete at Whitehouse High School, he received letters in football, track and basketball, as well as four letters on the baseball team…Served as team captain during his senior season…Was the Whitehouse Baseball Tournament MVP during his junior and senior years…Led his team to the 2009 District 14-4A Championship.

Personal: James “Heath” Mayo is the son of James and Staci Mayo of Whitehouse, Texas…He has two siblings, Landry and Easton…An honor roll student and class Valedictorian at Whitehouse High School…Was a member of the National Honor Society and a National Merit Finalist, as well as an AP Scholar…Won the Windsor Distinguished Achievement Award and was the KETK Student of the Year…Selected to the TASSP All-State Academic Team and the All-State Academic Baseball Team…Also enjoys watching movies and playing the piano … Triple concentrating in Economics, History and Political Science.
