2010:
Emerged as the ace on Brown’s staff as a freshman, leading the team in earned run average, wins, complete games and strikeouts, while finishing second in innings pitched and games started…Compiled a 4-3 record in 10 appearances…Threw three complete games in only six starts, which was the most on the team…Struck out 42 batters and held opposing hitters to a .286 average, while posting a team-leading 5.25 ERA.

Before Brown:
A three-sport athlete and four-year letter winner as a pitcher and outfielder at Fitch High School…Was his high school’s record holder in hits, walks and doubles, and was also in the top five in nine other categories…Served as a team captain during his senior season…Selected to the All-ECC first team three times, twice as a pitcher and once as an outfielder…Was a CHSCA All-State selection as a pitcher…Named the 2009 team MVP…Earned the title of Norwich Bulletin Player of the Year…Led his team to the state quarterfinals in 2009.
 

Personal: Kevin D. Carlow is the son of Steven and Andrea Carlow of Mystic, Connecticut…He has one sister, Allyson, who graduated from Trinity College and one brother, Gregory, who graduated from Skidmore College where he was captain and MVP of the varsity baseball team…His father Steve played baseball at Trinity College as well…Received high honors all four years at Fitch High School…Was a member of the National Honor Society and received the Academic Leter, Academic Chevron and the President’s Education Achievement Award…Was a male Scholar-Athlete winner during his senior year…Also enjoys skiing and playing golf…Concentrating in History.
