PROVIDENCE, R.I. — There will be no baseball this afternoon at Brown University as local meteorologists are forecasting consistent rains in the Providence area all afternoon. The Bears were scheduled to take on Marist in a doubleheader at 2 p.m. University officials have announced that this non-conference matchup will now be played on Tuesday, May 3 at 2 p.m.
The Bears are coming off their most successful weekend of year, going 3-1 in Ivy League play, including a 6-5 win in 11 innings against Columbia, and a 4-2 win versus Penn.
Brown is scheduled to head down to Storrs, Conn. tomorrow afternoon to take on UConn at 3:30 p.m.
Bruno returns to Murray Stadium this weekend for a four-game set against Ivy League rival Harvard.
