Brown Skiers Earn 4th at Nationals, Four Racers Earn Academic All American Honors

The Bears came in 4th overall after placing 4th in both the giant slalom and slalom events. The team effort was solid, as the Bears had some solid individual results. In Friday's slalom, Elizabeth Dibona led the way, with a time of 1:34.74 and a 9th overall finish. Doria Dibona was the next Brown finisher, completing the course in a time of 1:35.96, which was good for 14th place overall. Brown also got a strong effort from Molly Sheinberg, who earned a time of 1:41.89.

Brown was recognized with post-season awards at the completion of the week, as four racers were named 2nd Team Academic All-Americans. Doria Dibona, Molly Sheinberg, Naomi Sheffield, and Jocelyn Cleary each earned the honor. Elizabeth Dibona was selected as an Honorable Mention.

Elizabeth and Doria Dibona were selected as second team All Americans in the slalom and individual combined event, while Doria was named a second team All American in the giant slalom event.
