The Brown University Women's skiing team competed in its final regular season Carnival this weekend the Slalom was hosted by Saint Anselm while the giant slalom was hosted by Colby Sawyer. The Bears finished in second place in both races.
The Bears finished the slalom with a total time of 323.39 just .30 behind first place Colby Sawyer. Leading the way for Brown was senior Adrienne Jones (Bristol, VT) with a total time of 1:47.49 for a seventh place finish.
Recording a tenth place finish for the Bear's with a time of 1:47.83 was senior Doria DiBona (Waterville Valley, NH). Behind DiBona was junior Molly Sheinberg (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) in 11th place with a total time of 148.07.
Also skiing in the slalom for Brown were freshmen Caitlin Stanton (Hanover, NH) who recorded a time of 1:51.55 for 17th place and Hilary Swaffield (Wolfeboro, NH) who came in 18th place with a time of 1:51.67. Freshman Stephanie Breakstone (Sparta, NJ) also skied for the Bears and recorded a time of 1:54.21 for 24th place.
Brown also came in second place in the giant slalom as DiBona came in seventh place with a time of 1:51.52 and Stanton recorded a time of 1:52.09 for eighth place. Breakstone grabbed 12th place with a time of 1:52.74 as Sheinberg skied her way to 15th place with a time of 1:53.61.
Swaffield and Jones also placed for the Bears. Swaffield came in 16th with a time of 153.72 and Jones recorded a time of 1:55.85 for a 21st place finish. The Bears are currently ranked second in the MacConnel division heading into regionals.
