Tom Miller Named Head Women's Gymnastics Coach At Brown

PROVIDENCE, RI - Tom Miller, who has spent the past 11 seasons as assistant gymnastics coach under Jackie Court, has been promoted to the head coach of the Brown University women's gymnastics program. Court retired at the end of last season after 32 years as head coach.

The 1999 NCAA Northeast Region and ECAC Assistant Coach of the Year, Miller will be entering his 12th season as a member of the Brown gymnastics program. Involved in the gymnastics world since the age of five, Miller has spent many years as a competitor for Gymski Gymnastics and the Providence Turners.

Since joining the Brown coaching staff in the 1990-91 season, Miller's expertise has played a major role in the Bears' success. He has been a master clinician and the instructor at Woodward and International Gymnastics Camps and the Parkettes. He is a certified massage therapist and graduated from Rhode Island College with his Bachelor of General Studies degree.

In addition to his duties at Brown, Miller also teaches classes at Rhode Island College.
