March 31, 2008

Providence, RI - Eleven members of the Brown gymnastics team have been named to the ECAC All-Academic Team, while senior Hannah Goldstein (New York, NY) has been named an ECAC Scholar Athlete of the Year for the second time in her career.

Goldstein, a co-captain this season, holds a cumulative GPA of a 4.0 and is concentrating in Neuroscience. After earning a 42 on her MCAT, Goldstein, was sought after by the Top 12 medical schools in the country and has recently decided to attend Columbia Medical School following graduation. It has always been her dream to attend the Columbia Medical School and pursue a career as a pediatric brain surgeon. Goldstein was named an ECAC Scholar Athlete of the Year as a sophomore as well.

In addition to her demanding course work, Goldstein finds time to not only be one of Brown's top bar workers and floor performers, but also be involved across campus. She is a Meiklejohn advisor, a writing fellow, a math and science tutor, a peer advisor for the athletic department, and is an active member of the Student Athlete Advisory Council.
