Goldstein Named ECAC Scholar-Athlete Of The Year

Sophomore Hannah Goldstein was named the ECAC Scholar Athlete of the Year, and 12 of the 15 Brown gymnasts were named ECAC Scholar-Athletes. Goldstein is the third Brown gymnast in school history to receive this honor.
Concentrating in neuroscience at Brown, Goldstein has maintained a 4.0 cumulative GPA, and participates as an Academic Peer Tutor and volunteers at the Fox Point Elementary School. Last year Goldstein was named an ECAC Scholar Athlete, and NACGC/W Academic All-American. Goldstein competes vault and bars for the Bears and holds career highs of 9.425 on both events.
Twelve of the fifteen Brown gymnasts earned ECAC Scholar-Athlete honors for maintaining a 3.25 GPA or higher. The following gymnasts received the award: seniors Mandi Baughman, Sarah Cavett, Jessica McNell, Amber Smith and Miriam Straus, juniors Jessica Pouchet and Kate Slawsky, sophomores Sarah Durning, Hannah Goldstein, Jessica Pestronk and freshmen Whitney Diederich and Rachel Foodman.
