Bears Earn Two ECAC Weekly Honors

Freshmen Brittany Anderson (East Hills, NY) and Rachel Foodman (San Diego, CA) earned ECAC Weekly Honors for their performance in the Brown meets over the weekend. Anderson who took Rookie of the Week honors for the second consecutive week, led the Bears in their win over Cortland State on Sunday. Foodman earned Specialist of the Week for her marks against Cornell and Cortland.
Anderson turned in her top performances of the season in the 1-1 weekend. On Saturday afternoon against Cornell, Anderson hit all four events, earning a career high 9.525 on beam, leading Brown to its best team total all season. Against Cortland Anderson had her best all-around performance of her young career, hitting all four events, helping boost the Bear's team total from the previous day by nearly two points. She earned personal best on every event this weekend (Brown's top score on two events) and posted a 38 in the all-around.
Foodman is a very hard worker and competes on two events for the Bears. She has upgraded her skills in order to earn a spot in the line-up and has proven to be a strong competitor. This weekend Foodman hit not one, but two meets back-to-back, earning personal bests on both of her events, a 9.l55 on vault and a 9.4 on floor. The first day she earned Browns' top score on the floor exercise and the very next day she had the top score on the vault for the Bears.
