April 18, 2008 Jennifer Sobuta (Maynard, MA), Victoria Zanelli (Katy, TX) and Chelsey Binkley (Marietta, GA) competed in the preliminary round of the USAG Collegiate Nationals hosted by Centenary College on Thursday afternoon. Sobuta earned All-America honors on both the beam and bars, while Binkley received All-America honors on the floor at the USAG Collegiate Nationals.

Sobuta gave a solid effort in Thursday's preliminary round, picking up a 9.650 for eighth place on the bars, followed by a 9.725 on the beam for seventh place.

Binkley combined for stellar scores in Shrevport as well, as she tallied a 9.300 on the vault (23rd place), and turned in a 9.150 on the bars (23rd). She also placed 17th overall on the beam, earning a 9.275, and then a sixth place finish on the floor with a 9.725. In the all-around, Binkley placed eighth overall with a 37.450.

Zanelli posted a 9.150 on the bars and a 9.150 on the floor exercise and earned a 34.925 all-around score.

Sobuta will now serve as an alternate in the event finals on the bars and beam, and Binkley was named an alternate for event finals on the floor exercise.
