As a Junior in 2012: Competed on the bars, beam and floor for the Bears this season and was named the team’s Most Improved Gymnast … Was a solid contributor earning career-highs in all three of her events …. Posted a 9.850 on the bars during the Ivy Classic on Feb. 26, earned a 9.725 on the beam at the Metroplex Challenge on Feb. 18, and put up a career-high 9.750 on the floor exercise in Brown’s final two meets of the season … Qualified for the USAG Collegiate Nationals on the bars, beam and floor … During session 1, Abdo placed 10th on the bars with a 9.600, 16th on beam with a 9.525 and eighth on the floor with a 9.750.
As a Sophomore in 2011: Competed on the bars and floor for the Bears this season earning a career-high score of a 9.675 on the bars on March 6 in a meet vs. Bridgeport, Southern Connecticut and MIT … Earned the team’s Unsung Hero Award.
As a Freshman in 2010: Competed on mostly the vault, beam and floor for the Bears this season … Earned a career-high 9.5 on the vault at the ECAC Championship meet (3/27) and also posted a career-high 9.55 on the beam against New Hampshire (2/12) … Was one of Brown’s most consistent floor performers, earning a career-high 9.675 in back-to-back meets against Bridgeport (1/31) and UNH (2/12) … Competed all-around twice for the Bears, earning a 36.400 against Bridgeport (1/31) and then tallied a 37.150 in the ECAC Championship meet (3/27).
Before Brown: A three-time Level 10 Regional Qualifier ... A 2006 Level 9 state bar and all-around champion, and was a regional beam and all-around champion ... Also was National floor champion and placed second all-around ... Member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society, Bright Futures Scholar, Recipient of International Baccalaureate Diploma.
