Brown Goes 2-0 To Start The Season

The Brown University Equestrian Team competed in their first two shows of the season and finished in first place in both contests. The Bears won the first show with a total score of 39 points. They went onto host a show and also won that competition with a total score of 38 points.

In the first show the University of Connecticut and Roger Williams were tied for second place behind Brown. The Bears' Jamie Peddy was the high point rider for the show. Brown also had the reserve high point rider in Jackie Bialo.

In the second show which was at Brown, the team recorded their second victory with a total of 38 points. The Bears beat out their opponents by seven points. Jaime Peddy won Reserve High Point rider recording a second over fences and a first on the flat. Senior Marston St. John attained a first place over novice fences. Junior Cindy Willner had a first in the intermediate flat, as sophomore Rebecca Barker recorded a first in the novice flat. Both Galyn Burke and Alysson Oakley won their walk-trot-canter classes.
