Equestrian Takes Second at Johnson and Wales and Trinity

In a rare doubleheader weekend for the Brown equestrian team, the squad rode to a pair of second place finishes by the slimmest of margins, coming up just one point shy of the lead at both Johnson and Wales and Trinity. By staying close to the leaders though, the Bears maintained a 20-point advantage in the regional season standings with just one show to go, putting Bruno firmly in the driver’s seat.

Brown Rides to Third Place at UConn Show
Storrs, CT - The Bears wracked up 32 points at UConn over the weekend, placing third overall and finishing just four points behind the host Huskies, who won with 36. The margin was slim enough to allow Brown to hold onto its season standings lead though, remaining ahead of URI by nine points with three shows remaining in the season.

Bears Take Second at Wesleyan to Kick Off Spring Season
Brown started the second half of its season on a positive note over the weekend, taking a close second to URI at the Wesleyan show, and continuing to lead in the season standings after a strong fall portion. The Bears were led by senior Elizabeth Giliberti, who took a first and third at the show, and regained the lead in the Cacchione Cup standings, which allows the top point rider in the region to go directly to Nationals.

Bears Wrap Up Fall Season With Win at Wesleyan
The Brown equestrian team wrapped up their fall season over the weekend, using a hot start to the show to take a comfortable first place finish at Wesleyan, and extend their lead in the season standings to 20 points. Junior rider Allegra Aron led Bruno, picking up a pair of blue ribbons, and finishing third in the point rider standings on the day.
