PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – Senior Anna Seto earned high point rider as Brown University equestrian won the Salve Regina IHSA Show at Glen Farm on Saturday for its third victory in four shows this fall.
Seto (Barrington, R.I.) earned first and second-place finishes on the day and pointed out of novice flat while her sophomore sister Renee Seto (Barrington, R.I.) and senior captain Sara Nordstrom (Medina, Wash.) each won a blue ribbon. Renee Seto pointed out of walk-trot-canter, and overall the Bears tallied 11 top-three performances.
Nordstrom opened the day with her first-place finish in open fences while fellow senior captain Victoria Flagg (Great Falls, Va.) came in fifth. In intermediate fences, Anna Seto took second, and senior Sophie de Menil (New York, N.Y.) placed third.
In open flat, Nordstrom took second while Flagg and senior Annaliese Fries (Kirkland, Wash.) placed sixth and fourth respectively. In intermediate flat, freshman Hannah Woolley (Medfield, Mass.) registered a second-place showing.
In novice flat, Anna Seto won blue and pointed out of the division while senior Elizabeth Rao (Andover, Mass.) and junior Katrina Heilbroner (New York, N.Y.) each came in fifth with Heilbroner making her collegiate debut.
Renee Seto led the Bears with a first-place performance in walk-trot-canter, pointing out of the division. Seniors Sara Sellers (Washington, D.C.) and Genoveva Eguiguren (Quito, Ecuador) each came in fifth in the division.
Rounding out the day with walk-trot, sophomore Dominique Carlo (Dorado, Puerto Rico) and sophomore Emma Ramsdell (Cambridge, Mass.) both placed second, and sophomore Sophie Starck (New York, N.Y.) finished fifth.
Next, Brown competes at the University of Rhode Island IHSA Show on Saturday, Nov. 11 at Mystic Valley Hunt Club in Gales Ferry, Conn.
