Brown Qualifies Three Riders For Zone Championships
Gales Ferry, Conn. – At the Regional Equestrian Finals Brown University boasted three riders who all qualified for the Zone Championships on April 7. The Bears will have representatives in the open flat, open fences, intermediate fences and walk trot canter. Brown was its region's high-point college.
Sophomore Jacqueline Lubrano (Glenmore, Pa.) led the way for Brown qualifying for two events: the open flat and open fences. Junior Allison Dungey (North Kingstown, R.I.) will also be involved in the fences, making the intermediate fences level.
Senior Marissa Fuerst (Atlanta, Ga.) will represent the Bears in the walk trot cater.
Senior Rebecca McGoldrick (Virginia Water, England) was the runner-up in the Cacchione Cup and will sever as the reserve high-point rider for the region.
The Brown riders will be back in action in two weeks on April 7 in Hadley, Mass., for the Zone Championships.
