NCAA RECRUITING

Recruiting is any solicitation of a prospective student or legal guardian(s) by an institutional staff member or by a representative of the institution's athletics interests for the purpose informing the prospective student about Brown University, its athletics program and participation in intercollegiate athletics at Brown University.

Letters from coaches, faculty members and students (but not friends of the progam) aren't permitted until September 1 at the beginning of your junior year.

All Division I institutions must abide by uniform NCAA recruiting guidelines. For more information on the recruiting process and rules, see the recruiting section of the Guide to the College Bound Student Athlete.

Additional information about the recruiting time periods can be found on the NCAA Website under Recruiting Calendars.

Also, see a June 2006 communication to students interested in Ivy League intercollegiate athletics.
