Ophir Bernstein, Wrestling

Junior All-Ivy wrestler Ophir Bernstein (Allen, Texas) became the fourth All-American in Brown wrestling history and its first since 1998 when he finished in eighth place in the 184-pound weight class at the 2014 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in Oklahoma City last weekend. In his third consecutive NCAA Championships appearance, Bernstein stormed out of the gate with two wins on Thursday and then topped 10th-seeded Kenny Courts of Ohio State, 9-4, to secure All-American status on Friday.

Bernstein finished the season with 36 wins, just one shy of Brown's single season record set by Steve Thoma in 1991-92. He also pinned 12 NCAA opponents this season, leaving him two falls shy of tying former All-American Tivon Abel's 14 falls which he set in 1994-95 in the 158-pound weight class.
