Junior Tommy Glenn (Haddonfield, NJ) raced to three first place finishes in the 2012 Brown Invitational, held at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center this past weekend. A highlight of the Saturday night session was his first place finish in the 100 butterfly. Glenn extended his lead in each lap of the race, finishing with a time of 47.69, an NCAA ‘B’ cut. Just a short time later, he performed an impressive double to take the top honors in the 200 freestyle as well. His time of 1:37.29 was another NCAA ‘B’ cut, and the second fastest time in Brown swimming history. Finally, on Sunday evening, Glenn won his third individual title of the meet in the 200 butterfly, swimming a strong 1:46.46 to take top honors and make his third NCAA ‘B’ cut of the weekend.
The Bears will return to the water on Saturday, January 5 when they take on Providence College in a 1:00pm meet across town.
