Providence, R.I. - The end of Brown's fiscal year is just days away (June 30) and the Sports Foundation, along with hundreds of athletic alumni/ae and parent volunteers, are working furiously to reach its critical annual-use goal of $2.55 million in support of Brown's student-athletes. Your gift today (www.sportsfoundation.brown.edu) can make a difference.
While the Sports Foundation is having another successful fundraising year (as of June 27, the BUSF has set a new overall donor record of 5,012), there is still a $50,000 gap that needs to be closed to reach the $2.55 million annual-use goal. It is going to take a real team effort from alumni/ae, parents and friends to reach this objective.
Annual-use giving is a critical component of the budget for the athletic department and for each team. Among other things, annual use gifts provide vital equipment, winter and spring break training trips, comprehensive national recruiting efforts, and out-of-region team travel to maintain nationally competitive schedules.

ABOUT THE BROWN SPORTS FOUNDATION
Each year, the Brown Sports Foundation raises more than $5 million from an average of 5,000 generous donors in support of five critical areas: annual-use for varsity sports, endowment, facilities, special projects, and club sports. Central to the mission of the Sports Foundation is a fundamental belief in supporting Brown's student-athletes and their unique commitment to academic and athletic excellence. Success is measured not just in fundraising totals, in wins and losses, or in championships won, but in the impact of our support on the overall educational experience of the scholar-athlete. In recent years, the Sports Foundation has also assumed a larger role in expanding recreational and fitness opportunities for the entire campus community.
