Beth Conroy begins her third season with the Brown men’s lacrosse team after joining the Brown Athletic Training Staff in September 2008. In just two years, Conroy has worked with the Bears in the NCAA Tournament in 2009 and in the Ivy league Playoffs in 2010.
A 2003 summa cum laude graduate from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in May 2003 with a concentration in Sports Medicine, Conroy also earned a Master of Science in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania in May 2006, graduating with honors.
Conroy came to Brown from Rochester Institute of Technology, where she worked as an Athletic Trainer from August 2006 to September 2008. She provided primary coverage for men’s soccer, women’s ice hockey, women’s lacrosse and softball, and provided strength and conditioning for soccer, ice hockey, lacrosse and tennis.
She also worked at California University of Pennsylvania as a graduate assistant for a year, and was a two-year intern at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for two years. As an undergraduate at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Conroy was a Student Athletic Trainer and an Athletic Training Teaching Assistant.
A resident of Wrentham, Massachusetts, Conroy is a National Athletic Trainers’ Association certified athletic trainer and obtained her Rhode Island State license in October 2008. She is also licensed in New York State and Pennsylvania. Certified in Red Cross CPR, First Aid and AED, Beth is a National Strength and Conditioning Association certified Strength Specialist.
