Eric Schneider was named the Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance in July of 2013. Schneider begins his second stint at Brown after previously serving as an Athletics Compliance Intern during the 2011-12 academic year.
Before returning to Brown, Schneider spent 10 months as the Assistant Director of Compliance at American University. While at American, Schneider assisted in all facets of compliance, including the interpretation of NCAA and Patriot League legislation, eligibility certification, monitoring, and rules education.
Prior to American, Schneider served as an Academic and Membership (AMA) Postgraduate Intern at the NCAA, where he provided analysis in legislative waivers and assisted member institutions with Division I, II and III legislation and interpretation.
As an Athletics Compliance Intern at Brown, Schneider assisted the department with various compliance efforts, including rules education of NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC legislation. He also assisted in various aspects of monitoring, student-athlete eligibility and certifications.
Additionally, Schneider was an Athletics Compliance Intern at Adelphi University from February 2010 to June of 2011.
A 2007 graduate of the University of Connecticut, Schneider earned a Master of Science in Sports Management from Adelphi in 2011.
