Eric Peterson joined the Brown Department of Athletics as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in March of 2013.
Peterson serves as the primary contact for men's soccer, cross country, track & field, men's ice hockey, men’s crew and baseball, as well as the secondary contact for football. He also oversees the hiring and scheduling of all student workers for athletic communications and serves as the technology coordinator and website coordinator for the office.
In 2015-16, Peterson led the redesign of the athletic department's website, brownbears.com, launched in August 2015.
Peterson served as the press box coordinator at the 2017 and 2015 NCAA Men's Hockey East Regionals hosted by Brown at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, and also assisted at the same event in 2013.
Prior to UNH, Peterson was an Athletic Communications Assistant at Bryant University, where he served as the primary contact for six sports. Before Bryant, Peterson completed an internship in the sports information department at Southern Connecticut State University as well as an internship in the sports department at The Eagle Tribune.
Peterson, a native of Newburyport, Massachusetts, earned a degree in Journalism from Quinnipiac University in 2010. He and his wife, Julia, currently reside in Warwick, Rhode Island.
