Michael Neely joined the Brown Department of Athletics as the Marketing and Promotions Manager in June of 2013. Previously, Neely had been the Director of Ticket Sales at Hofstra, a position he held from June 2010 until his hire at Brown.
While at Hofstra, Neely was responsible for the outreach and implementation of sales efforts for all season tickets, mini-plans, and single game ticket sales for nine ticketed sports. He also handled group sales and coordinated special promotional day ticketed events. In addition to his responsibilities with ticketing, Neely assisting with marketing efforts, helping to form marketing plans and helping with script writing and presentations.
A 2010 magna cum laude graduate of Hofstra who majored in both public relations and French as an undergraduate, Neely served as team manager for the men's basketball program from 2006 to 2010. He had also previously interned in the communications and advertising sales department at the YES Network.
