As Senior Parents Officer, Almeida will be part of the Parents Annual Giving team with focused efforts on major gift fundraising for both the Sports Foundation and the Brown Annual Fund. A major part of this position is to manage the Parents Athletic Leadership Council and overall Athletic Parents Fundraising program.

Almeida joined the Sports Foundation in 2003 as an undergraduate student intern and spent three years working in the BUSF office while pursuing her degree in Psychology. In June, 2006, Almeida joined the Sports Foundation team full-time as Athletic Development Assistant. She was instrumental in the areas of office administration and budget management while expanding her role in the areas of events, special projects and volunteer management.

In 2008, Almeida moved into role as Friends Association Manager, where she served as a liaison to the Friends Leaders of our Varsity and Club Sport Associations. She worked closely with coaches and alumni and parent volunteers to ensure that each organization was maximizing awareness of and financial support for the athletic program. Laura was also responsible for the BUSF Senior Gift campaign. In the summer of 2011 she received her MBA from Bryant University.
